A Poem for Zion

What can I saw about the last week?  There isn’t enough time or space here.  The facts are that Zion Daniel Ward was born Jan 6th at 10:14 PM.  He was 8 lbs, 13 oz and 21″ long.  Our birth mom made the sacrificial decision to sign the papers that would place him in our family last Saturday night.  Now we are home and beginning a new journey.  It’s a new journey of our family, but also a new extended family that includes Zion’s birth-mom and 2 more big sisters.  I’ll be sharing more as we go (there is a lot of process), but for now, I’ll leave you with a short poem…

Sleep deprived yet thrilled

God took us down the long road.

Zion softly sleeps.
