We put up our Christmas lights outside this week.  And as you look up and down our street at night, the lights from the other houses twinkle brightly lighting up the darkness.

It’s a reminder to me that Jesus, the light of the world, came into the darkness of the world, the darkness of my world, to show us how to live and die.  It’s a wonderful, beautiful Christmas mystery.

This Thursday and Friday at 7PM, we will present a FREE CONCERT of songs off our new music project, You Will Find The Child.

This collection of songs celebrates the wonderful, beautiful mystery of Jesus’ birth that we read about in Luke 2:8-12:

There were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.’ (NIV)

Our hope is that you will come this Thursday and Friday at 7PM so you can reflect on the wonderful, beautiful mystery of Jesus this Christmas.  We will sing to you and invite you to sing along with us also.  And then at 8PM, we’ll all head to The Commons for the best, free desserts you’ll eat this season.  And I’m not just say’in that…it’s true.

But that’s not all…after the free concert, you will be able to download all 9 songs for free (and 4 from our previous project, Adore).

Everyone involved with this project donated their time and talents because we hope it will glorify God using the given creativity and talents of our church.

Come find the child.

Come find the wonderful, beautiful mystery of Jesus.
