Orphans Don’t Need Stuff, Orphans Need Families
Orphans don’t need stuff…orphans need families! Sara and I first realized this during a missions trip to Haiti in 1998. We visited an orphanage and saw kids who didn’t know how to play “peek-a-boo” because no one had ever played with them. They just lay on the ground, malnourished and neglected. I had to convince Sara that we couldn’t make it through customs with a baby even if I created a diversion and she ran for it! But at that time, we agreed that we would try to bring someone into our forever family. Now, we have two someones and we love them more than words can say…
This Christmas, consider helping orphans worldwide. There are so many ways to help…adoption, foster-care, prayer and/or year-end-giving. Because orphans don’t need stuff, orphans need families.

You’re absolutely right, Sam. We have so much we can share and their need is so great. Thank you for dedicating your life to the needs of others.
